NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH!

We've gone shopping and, as always, had quite a bit of fun looking for quality beads, gems and pearls at the best possible prices for our customers! Included in our finds are a huge selection of fabulous crystals in hot, hot colors and a variety of sizes. They aren't Swarovski but the quality is so amazing and the prices are almost too good to be true, ranging from $6.95 to $9.95 per strand! We also have large square crystal pendants along with other great shapes.

Our gemstone prices are lower than ever and the new selection is amazing! Don't pass up the new turquoise beads. Most of these are natural turquoise and they are just beautiful.

SURPRISE BEAD CHALLENGE RESULTS

The rules of engagement are simple. Purchase a discounted bag of beads/components sight unseen (surprise!) and accept the challenge to:
   1. Use everything in the bag,
   2. Add whatever you want,
   3. Make whatever you want.

Not knowing what's in the bag beforehand eliminates our prejudging of the beads/colors/etc. and enables us to fully accept the challenge of creating something outside of our "norm." It stretches our creative muscles.

We have been asked, "Is there a prize?" and the answer is yes and no. First of all, none of us here at Planet Bead wants to judge the creative process! How is that even possible? The idea is to watch the creative process at work and in the end appreciate our differences and what comes from a group of people beginning with the exact same base. And THAT is our very valuable prize!

So, here are the wonderful and diverse results of the Surprise Bead Challenge! Thanks to all who have participated! YOU ROCK!!!

HOW DO I LOVE TUESDAYS?
LET ME COUNT THE WAYS...

One

I get 15% off my bead purchases when I wear my Planet Bead T-shirt on Tuesdays AND I get my Bead Card stamped! I love a good bargain. Of course, the usual discount restrictions apply... No extra discounts on bulk or clearance items, books, classes, kits or instructions, jewelry or gift items.

Two

On the first Tuesday of each month, those who DON'T have a Planet Bead T-shirt will receive a 15% discount between the hours of 6-8pm. Of course, since I DO wear my PB shirt, I get 20% off from 6-8pm! T-shirts are only $15 and I saved that much on my first purchace!

Three

The First Tuesday of every Month is Planet Bead's Bead Together. It's so much fun socializing with other beaders for those two hours and I've picked up a technique or two along the way from my new friends! Here's what they say:

It's FUN, it's RELAXING, it's INVIGORATING, it's SOCIAL, it's CREATIVE, It's INFORMATIVE, and did I mention it's FREE!?

Just bring a project to work on (or come early to pick out a new project to start) and enjoy the company of other beaders in our classy classroom. Pick each other's brains, start a great conversation, learn something new, or share what you know. We would love to see some of your favorite projects so bring a couple in and let us ooh and ahh! Relax, have a glass of wine, cider, or hot chocolate - our treat!

Please RSVP as space is limited.

Participate in our Surprise Bead Challenge! It's really a lot of fun to see what creativity is sprouted from a group of people with the same bag of beads and goodies. Purchase a bag at a discount, make whatever you want, use everything in the bag, add whatever you wish... then bring it to the next Bead Together to see what everyone else made too! If you can't make it to the next Bead Together, bring it in when you are finished so we can photograph it and add it to our newsletter.

Four
Every Tuesday evening after the 1st, we can come in between 6-8pm to the Open Beading & Demos Nights and work on projects... I like that because I can't get an undistracted minute at home! It's a lot like First Tuesday (without the wine) only instructors will be there to perform demonstrations of whatever we want to see and we can try it out with our own beads and findings that we bring in. They will also have a guest demonstrator from time to time... Sounds fun to me!

CALLING ALL BEADERS

As mentioned above, we give free demonstrations on most Tuesdays. We are looking for customers who may be interested in demonstrating their favorite technique to our gathering of "beadies". There may be free beads involved for sharing! Let us know if you are interested and we will discuss possible dates to schedule.
